FEEDING

Liam feeding soft food

Haith’s seed is in our opinion the finest seed available and therefore it is used throughout the stud, the basic seed mixture used is a combination of Canadian canary, Bravo, Budgie tonic and Panicum millet. Chinese millet sprays are given as a treat once a week
Our soft food mixture is offered in finger draws, morning and in the evening and comprises of 1 cup full of Quicko, 1 cup full of bread crumbs, 1 large carrot, baby spinach leaves, celery, apple, broccoli and fennel, all put through a blender until a crumbly mixture is achieved.
Wholemeal bread and milk is given to all the breeding pairs, again fed in finger draws. Two or three times a week soaked oats are offered.
Each cage has cuttlefish bone and an iodine block added and also a finger draw of Murphy’s minerals
